WHY GENIUS IS DIFFERENT ?
It is simple, minimalistic and efficient.
It is a harness designed for you, for your safety, for your comfort, to be adapted to your needs.
The standard version comes with:
- Adjustable leg loops on both sides, to hug the thighs and equally distribute the weight transferred from the main tie-in point to the harness and therefore to the body. If the leg loops wear out, they can be replaced with new loops, supplied by the manufacturer, without having to purchase a new harness.
- We have eliminated the “traditional” tie-in point, usually made using a fabric web that may become worn, with a metal ring sewn into the waist-belt of the harness itself, and free to move right and left, with a limited stroke of 8-9 cm.
- A fabric web sling, 5 cm long and tested at 15 kN, which can be replaced in case of wear and, more importantly, can be cut if the user becomes blocked on the rope, without compromising the possibility of having a certified tie-in point and barycentre (the metal ring) that can be used by rescue personnel.
- A “universal” gear loop, attached to the harness belt, but removable, so the user can position it either to the left or to the right, based on personal preference. A second gear loop may be purchased separately and attached to the harness at any time.

Accessories customize the harness and to make it multi-functional:
A new waist-belt
- A new waist-belt, the F2, has been designed for this harness, replacing the F1.
The F2 is a removable accessory, useful for canyoneers and cavers who engage in more challenging descents in terms of vertical suspension, where comfort can make the difference. Also, guides who take customers into predominantly vertical canyons or caves will find that the F2 belt is a trusty addition to be used when needed, attaching it to the harness as required, that is, when just the web of the harness belt is not enough to provide adequate comfort.
IL RING
- The bilbo 28 openable ring, can be positioned to the side of the non openable ring (the main 15kN tie-in point), for functional purposes, such as:
. positioning of the chest ascender (the bilbo 28 is supplied with a rubber O-ring to protect against the cutting effect that the chest ascender has on the surface of the bilbo 28 itself)
. positioning of the load both when ascending and when descending
. positioning a carabiner to modulate the braking system.
WARNING: The bilbo 28 openable ring is not a PPE; it has a tensile strength of 10 kN. It cannot be used for purposes other than those specified in the information sheet.
